Melatonin bitkisel g\u0131dalar i\u00e7inde yulaf, arpa, pirin\u00e7, m\u0131s\u0131r, zencefil, domates ve muzda bulunur. \u0130la\u00e7 olarak verilen Melatonin\u2019in \u00f6zellikle jet lag ve ya\u015fl\u0131 uykusuzlu\u011funa faydas\u0131 oldu\u011fu s\u00f6ylenmektedir. Keza, migren, Alzheimer, Parkinson, hipertansiyon ve kanser profilaksisi (meme, karaci\u011fer, beyin) i\u00e7in yararl\u0131 oldu\u011fu ileri s\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.
